군은 우선 공공기관 차량 운행을 기존 5부제에서 2부제로 강화해 운영하고, 청사 내 불필요한 전력 사용을 줄이는 등 공공부문 에너지 절감 조치를 적극 추진할 계획이다. 이는 에너지 수급 불안정 상황에 선제적으로 대응하고 공공부문이 솔선수범하기 위한 조치다.
