차은우는 지난 8일 자신의 SNS(사회관계망서비스)를 통해 “최근 저와 관련된 납세 논란으로 팬분들을 비롯한 많은 분들께 실망과 혼란을 드린 점, 진심으로 사과드린다”며 “여러 행정 절차가 진행되는 과정에서 입장을 말씀드리는 데 신중할 수밖에 없었고, 그로 인해 말씀드리는 시기가 늦어진 점에 대해서도 또 한 번 사과드린다”며 말문을 열었다.

또 차은우는 “활동 중 여러 변화와 혼란을 겪는 시기에 제 활동을 좀 더 안정적으로 이어가기 위해 준비하는 과정에서 법인을 설립했지만, 지금 돌이켜보면 그 과정에서 충분히 살피지 못한 부분이 있었고, 그 책임은 저의 가족이나 회사가 아닌 저에게 있다고 생각한다”며 “이번 일을 통해 제 자신을 스스로 한번 돌아봐야겠다는 점을 절실히 느꼈다. 무엇보다 저를 믿어 준 팬분들, 아로하 여러분께 실망을 드렸다는 사실이 가장 마음 아프고 죄송하다”고 말했다.
