【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청은 20일 오후 2시, 교육연구정보원 세미나실에서 새롭게 지정된 IB 준비학교(초·중·고 11교) 담당교원과 IB 학교 희망 교원 등 70여 명을 대상으로 <2026. IB 준비학교 역량강화 워크숍>을 개최했다.
이번 워크숍은 IB 준비학교의 수업·평가 운영 역량을 강화하고 학교 간 협력 네트워크를 구축하기 위해 마련됐다.
워크숍은 IB 준비학교 운영 방향과 단계별 사례 공유를 중심으로 구성됐다. ▲IB 준비학교 운영 안내 ▲경기도 안성시 죽산중 IB 월드스쿨 사례 ▲충주중앙탑초 관심학교 사례 ▲금천중 후보학교 사례 나눔 ▲질의응답 순으로 진행됐으며, 참석 교원들은 운영 절차와 인증 단계별 준비 과정, 실행 전략을 중심으로 실무 정보를 공유했다.
죽산중 사례에서는 IB 월드스쿨 인증 과정과 탐구 중심 수업·평가 운영 사례가 제시됐고, 충주중앙탑초 사례에서는 교원 연수와 연구회 기반의 학교 운영 체계 구축 사례가 공유됐으며, 금천중 사례에서는 후보학교 준비 과정과 공동체 프로젝트 운영 등 단계별 운영 방향이 제시됐다.
또한 참석 교원들은 질의응답을 통해 학교 운영 과정에서의 어려움과 발전 방안을 논의했다.
한편 16일(목)에는 사전 온라인 연수를 운영했다. 홍정아 IB 한국사업개발 매니저가 <IB 프로그램의 이해>를 주제로 특강을 진행해 IB 교육 철학과 프로그램 구조에 대한 이해를 높였다.
정문희 중등교육과장은 “IB 교육은 질문과 토론을 기반으로 사고를 확장하는 미래형 교육의 핵심 모델”이라며 “신규 준비학교가 안정적으로 IB 학교로 성장할 수 있도록 맞춤형 연수와 컨설팅을 지속적으로 지원하겠다.”라고 말했다.
충북교육청은 올해 총 26교까지 IB 학교를 확대·운영하며 지역 전반에 IB 교육 생태계 구축을 추진할 계획이다.

Chungcheongbuk-do Office of Education Holds Workshop to Strengthen Competencies of Teachers in Charge of IB Preparatory Schools
On the afternoon of the 20th at 2:00 PM, the Chungcheongbuk-do Office of Education held the <2026 IB Preparatory School Competency Enhancement Workshop> at the seminar room of the Educational Research and Information Institute. The workshop was attended by approximately 70 participants, including teachers in charge of newly designated IB preparatory schools (11 elementary, middle, and high schools) and teachers interested in becoming IB schools.

In the case of Juksan Middle School, examples of the IB World School accreditation process and inquiry-based instruction and assessment operations were presented; in the case of Chungju Jungangtap Elementary School, examples of establishing a school management system based on teacher training and research groups were shared; and in the case of Geumcheon Middle School, step-by-step operational directions were presented, including the candidate school preparation process and the operation of community projects.
