경일대학교(총장 정현태) 소방방재학부가 지난달 엑스코에서 열린 ‘제1회 경상북도 산업안전대전’에 개발 중인 안전제품들을 전시했다.
경일대가 소개한 안전제품들은 ‘인명구조용 드론’, ‘IoT 볼라드’, ‘어셈블리 포인트(Assembly Point)’ 등으로 산학 협력을 통해 개발을 진행 중에 있다.

그 중 인명구조용 드론은 고층화재나 산악지형 구조현장에서 인명을 구호하는 것은 물론, 상황에 따라 안내방송이나 구호물자(산소통·구급약·비상시량)를 이송할 수 있는 함까지 장착되어 있어 앞으로의 활약이 기대된다.
또한 IoT 볼라드는 횡단보도 입구에 세워져 있는 볼라드에 출동 중인 재난구조 차량의 송신을 통해 횡단보도에 진입하려는 보행자에게 응급상황을 알려 골든타임 확보와 보행자 보호를 동시에 할 수 있는 장치이다.
어셈블리 포인트는 컨테이너 형태로 되어 있는 임시 집결 장소로 재난 상황에 낙후된 지역에 쉽게 설치할 수 있으며 각종 구호물자와 응급약품, 의료시설 등을 갖추어 구조대가 도착하기 전까지 원격을 통해 의료진의 도움을 받아 응급조치를 스스로 혹은 타인에게 할 수 있도록 대비해 놓은 시설이다.
경일대 소방방재학부는 이 같이 재난 상황에서 유용하게 쓰일 장치들을 선보여 큰 호응을 얻었다.
김화영 학부장은 “현재 연구개발 중인 성과물들은 정부 지원 그리고 LINC+ 사업단의 가족기업과 상호협력을 통해 현재 순조롭게 개발 진행되고 있다”면서 “이와 같은 안전제품들이 쾌적하고 지속가능한 대한민국을 만드는데 일조할 것으로 예상된다.”고 말했다.
