임준희 경남부교육감이 지난 18일 오후 2시 정신문화의 수도 안동에 소재한 한국국학진흥원 대강당에서 출판기념회를 개최했다.
이날 행사는 북 콘서트 형식으로 진행된 가운데 각계각층의 인사들이 참여해 눈길을 끌었다.

특히 임준희 고등학교 친우인 조선일보 송의달 선임기자가 참석해 주인공인 임준희 부감을 회상하는 시간이 이어졌다.
송의달 선임기자는 “임부교육감은 역경을 이겨낸 의지의 사나이이자 교육현장에서 실무를 익힌 행정전문가로서 앞으로 지역과 교육계에서 큰 역할을 할 것으로 믿고 있다”고 메시지를 전했다.
이어 진행된 좌담에서 장혜숙 진행자는 “30여년의 교육외길에서 가장 보람 있었던 일은 무엇이었나?”라는 질문을 임준희 부교육감에게 던졌다.
이에 임 부교육감은 “국가공무원으로서 자신이 수립한 정책으로 혜택을 입는 많은 사람들을 볼 때 보람을 느꼈다. 특히 국가장학금제도와 같은 정책으로 인해 가정 형편이 어려운 학생들이 대학에 진학하여 인재로 성장한 것을 보았을 때 보람을 느꼈다”고 답변했다.
그리고 임 부교육감은 자신이 이 자리에 있기까지 주변분들, 특히 부모님과 동생, 형수 및 자신의 아내의 희생과 헌신이 있었음을 밝히면서 그에 대한 고마운 마음을 전했다.
