브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 제너시스비비큐가 연말연시를 맞아 지역사회에 온정을 나누기 위한 사회공헌활동에 나섰다.
BBQ는 지난 23일 사단법인 희망등대와 ‘2022년 대한민국 꿈과 희망 프로젝트 BBQ치킨릴레이 사회공헌사업 업무 협약식’을 체결했다.
BBQ는 이번 협약을 통해 2022년부터 한 해 동안 약 3800만원 상당의 치킨과 기프티콘을 후원한다. 52주 간 매주 치킨 30마리와 기프티콘 10개가 전달될 예정이다.
기부 제품은 코로나19 장기화로 인해 이전보다 힘든 시간을 보내고 있는 차상위계층, 홀몸어르신, 기초수급자, 결손가정, 사회복지시설, 무료급식소 등 각 지역별 사회 취약 계층에게 전달되며 수도권을 시작으로 점진적으로 확대해 나갈 계획이다.
BBQ는 이번 달 이미 총 2억원 상당의 자사 가정간편식(HMR) 3900박스를 각 지역 푸드뱅크 17곳에 기부한 바 있다.
또한, BBQ는 지난 22일 충주시청을 방문하여 270만원 상당의 치킨 상품권을 기탁했다. 이 날 기부된 상품권은 지역 내 취약계층 청소년 가구에게 전달될 예정이다. 행사에는 BBQ 윤경주 부회장을 비롯한 임직원 및 관계자들이 함께했다.
