(브레이크뉴스인천 문광수 기자) 부천시가 지난 26일부터 27일까지 ㈔전국국어교사모임과 함께 한국만화박물관에서 ‘제22회 전국 중·고등학생 이야기대회’를 개최했다.
‘전국 중·고등학생 이야기대회’는 2000년 처음 시작되어 올해로 22회를 맞이했으며 청소년들이 상상력, 창조력을 발휘할 수 있는 기회의 장으로 자리매김했다.
올해는 6월 7일부터 한 달 동안 전국 15개 지역 대회를 통해 40명의 본선 참가자를 선발했으며, 처음으로 부천시에서 1박 2일 이야기캠프 형식으로 새롭게 진행됐다.
1일 차에는 지역 예선을 통과한 40명 학생의 개인전이 열렸으며, 2일 차에는 4명이 한 조를 이뤄 새로운 이야기를 만들어 발표하는 모둠전이 펼쳐졌다.
올해 처음 시작된 모둠전은 학생들이 자유롭게 생각을 이야기하여 서로의 상상력을 자극할 수 있는 의미 있는 시간이었으며, 이야기를 만들어내는 과정에서의 기쁨과 성취감을 얻을 수 있는 좋은 기회가 됐다.
‘제22회 전국 중고등학생 이야기대회’ 수상자는 「중등부 한빛상(1위) 부천시장상」에는 부산 연일중학교 이채민 학생, 「고등부 한빛상(1위) 문화체육관광부 장관상」에는 대구 경북기계공업 고등학교 박재형 학생이 선정됐다.
부천시는 문화콘텐츠산업 경쟁력 강화를 위해 스토리산업을 지속 추진하고 있으며, 이야기대회를 통해 창의인재를 발굴·양성하고 유네스코 문학창의도시로서 가치를 실현해 나가고 있다.
조용익 부천시장은 “상상력과 창의력이 미래를 이끌어갈 힘”이라며, “이야기대회를 통해 생각하는 힘과 자신을 표현하는 능력을 키우고 발휘할 수 있는 기회가 되길 바란다. 이야기대회가 더욱 활성화될 수 있도록 적극적인 지원과 협력을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.

The ‘National Middle and High School Story Contest’ first started in 2000 and celebrated its 22nd anniversary this year, and has established itself as an opportunity for young people to show their imagination and creativity.
This year, 40 finalists were selected through 15 regional competitions nationwide for a month from June 7 this year, and for the first time in Bucheon, it was held in the form of a story camp for 2 days and 1 night.
On the first day, an individual exhibition of 40 students who passed the regional preliminaries was held, and on the second day, a group exhibition was held in which four students formed a new story and presented it.
