(브레이크뉴스인천 문광수 기자) 부천시가 지난 27일 수원 경기아트센터 대극장에서 개최된 ‘제19회 경기도 시·군 대항 장애인 합창대회’에서 ‘부천시 장애인복지회 합창단’이 장려상을 수상했다고 밝혔다.
부천시에 따르면, 이번 대회에는 총 15개의 시·군이 참여했으며 부천시 장애인복지회 합창단은 2010년 금상을 수상한 것을 포함하여 총 6번의 수상 경력을 가진 팀이다.
이날 부천시 장애인복지회 합창단은 ‘홀로 아리랑’이라는 곡을 함께 부르며 감동의 무대를 선사했다.
김병성 경기도장애인복지회 부천시지부장은 “부천시 장애인복지회 합창단의 활동을 통해 나눔과 소통, 따듯한 공동체 문화를 지향하는 문화특별시 부천에 좋은 추억이 하나 더 생긴 것 같아 뿌듯하다”면서 “주위의 많은 도움을 받아 좋은 성적을 거둘 수 있었던 거 같다”며 소감을 밝혔다.
조용익 부천시장은 “최근 장애인들의 문화 예술 활동이 두드러지고 있어 많은 이에게 감동을 주고 있다”면서 “장애인과 비장애인이 차별과 편견 없이 하나가 되는 사회를 만들기 위해 노력하겠다”는 응원과 격려의 메시지를 전했다.
한편, ‘부천시 장애인복지회 합창단’은 2004년 3월에 장애인과 비장애인 30명으로 발족했으며 그동안 꾸준한 노력과 열정으로 부천시 장애인 행사에 다수 참여하여 많은 장애인들에게 희망과 사랑을 노래로 전해주는 전도사 역할을 해 오고 있다.
