세종시의회 예산결산특별위원회는 8일 세종시교육감이 제출한 2023년도 예산안 및 기금운용 계획안을 심사하고 수정 가결했다.
이날 예산결산특별위원회는 학습·심리 정서·신체 건강 등 결손 회복 지원과 교육 사각지대 최소화를 위한 사업들을 중심으로 예산이 적절히 배분·편성돼 있는지를 살펴보고 중점적으로 검토했다.
예결위는 심사를 통해 각 부서의 사업성 업무추진비 등 445개 사업에서 16억 2,500만원을 감액하고 소통담당관 소관 교육 홍보 활동 운영 등 29개 사업에서 16억 2,500만원을 증액했다.
또 2023년도 세종시교육청 교육재정 안정화 기금운용 계획안 4,887억원과 교육시설 환경개선기금 운용계획안 526억원은 원안대로 가결됐다.
안신일 위원장은 “2023년도 예산안 심사 과정에서 사업 취지에 맞게 예산이 편성되었는 살폈으며, 중장기적인 계획을 수립하여 예산이 효율적으로 사용될 수 있도록 노력해달라”면서 “심사 과정에서 지적된 사항들은 적극 반영해 개선해 나가고, 합리적이고 건전한 재정 운용이 될 수 있도록 힘써 달라”고 당부했다.
세종교육청 2023년도 예산안 및 기금운용 계획안은 오는 15일에 열리는 제79회 정례회 제4차 본회의에 상정돼 최종 심의·의결된다.
