[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] ‘군민 중심 행정’을 강조해온 조근제 함안군수가 지역현안 파악과 군민과의 소통을 위해 2023년 새해를 맞아 첫 읍·면 순시에 나섰다.
이번 순시는 민선 8기 ‘군민과 함께 만드는 행복도시 함안’ 건설을 위해 주요 당면 현안을 파악하고 직원, 주민들과 소통하면서 생생한 지역 현장의 목소리를 군정에 적극 반영하고자 마련됐다.
10일 가야읍과 함안면, 여항면을 시작으로 소통행보에 나선 조 군수는 도·군의원, 읍·면 기관장, 기관단체장 등과 주민들이 배석한 가운데 지역 기본현황과 주요현안사항 등을 보고받았으며, 주민의 건의사항 등을 꼼꼼히 챙기는 한편, 주요공약 사업과 군 발전계획을 바탕으로 군민과의 열린 대화를 이어가며 각계각층의 여론을 파악하고자 했다.
또한 행정의 최일선에서 주민들을 위해 노력하는 읍·면 직원들의 노고를 격려하면서 주민들의 생활 속 불편한 사항은 신속하게 처리할 수 있도록 적극적으로 검토해주기를 당부했다.
조 군수는 “이번 순방을 통해 읍면의 생생한 의견을 수렴하고 실천하여 어느 지역도 소외됨 없이 골고루 잘사는 균형발전을 위해 많은 노력을 기울이겠다. 많은 관심과 협조를 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
한편, 조 군수는 이날을 시작으로 11일 산인면·대산면, 12일 군북면·법수면, 13일 칠원읍·칠북면·칠서면 등 10개 읍·면을 차례로 방문할 예정이다.
