세종시가 오는 3월 31일까지 봄철 고농도 초미세먼지(PM-2.5) 발생이 예상되면서 총력대응에 나선다고 밝혔다.
세종시는 기상청 기상전망에 따른 대기정체로 인한 고농도 미세먼지가 자주 발생할 수 있다고 예상됨에 따라 초미세먼지 줄이기에 나섰다.
지난 2016년부터 2022년도 까지 12월부터 3월까지의 세종시 관내 초미세먼지 발생은 1월 11일, 3월 10일로 3월 한 달이 가장 높은 수준으로 ‘나쁨 일수(36㎍/㎥ 이상)’가 1월 다음으로 높아 각별한 대비가 필요하다는 통계에 따라 세종시가 총력대응에 나선 것이다.
이를 위해 세종시는 대기배출사업장은 자발적 저감 협약 대기배출사업장 12곳에 대해 매주 1회 이상 현장을 방문해 감축 이행상황을 확인하고, 공공사업장(생활폐기물종합처리시설)은 정기정비 일정을 앞당겨 이달 중 운영을 축소해 배출량을 줄일 예정이라고 밝혔다.
