국가철도공단 김한영 이사장과 봉사단이 4일 1사 1촌 자매결연을 맺고 있는 영동금강모치마을에 방문해 나무심기와 농촌 일손돕기에 나섰다.
이날 공단 임직원은 2019년 식재한 1,500본 개복숭아나무 중 200본을 보식했으며 새망치기, 부직포 깔기 등 일손 부족으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 마을 농민들을 위해 힘을 보탰다.
한편, 공단은 2004년 창립 이래 1천명 이상의 임직원이 참여한 식목행사를 꾸준히 시행하여 2만2천여 그루의 나무를 심어왔다.
