세종시와 크로아티아 스플리트시가 지능형도시협력을 논의했다.
최민호 세종시장은 이비차 풀략(Ivica PULJAK) 크로아티아 스플리트시장은 12일 시청 접견실에서 면담을 갖고, 양 도시 간 지능형도시, 교통정책, 디지털행정, 문화 등 분야별 협력관계 구축 방안을 논의했다.
이번 면담은 한국국제교류재단(KF)의 ‘2023 한국국제교류재단 정무분야 유력인사 초청사업’ 일환으로 이뤄졌다.
면담에서 스플리트 시장은 정보통신(ICT), 거대정보(빅데이터) 등 신기술을 접목해 각종 도시문제를 해결하고 지속가능한 도시를 만들 수 있는 ‘지능형도시’에 큰 관심을 갖고 있다고 밝혔다.
또 이비차 풀략 시장은 “스플리트는 오래된 도시로 교통이나 주차문제 등 도시문제 해결을 위해 세종시의 지능형도시 도입에 관심이 있다”라며 지능형도시 분야 협력을 제안했다.
최민호 시장은 “스플리트시에 적용할 수 있는 지능형도시 관련 정책은 언제든 공유가 가능하며 적극 지원하겠다”라며 “앞으로 두 도시가 지속적인 교류를 통해 도시문제를 함께 해결하고 공동 대응하기를 희망한다”라고 말했다.
면담에 앞서 스플리트 시장은 지능형(AI) 관제 시스템을 활용해 각종 재난·범죄 등 비상상황에 효과적으로 대응하는 스마트안전도시 시스템 시찰을 위해 도시통합정보센터를 방문했다.
한편, 스플리트시는 크로아티아 제2의 수도로 ‘달마시안의 꽃’이라고 불리는 아드리아해 연안에 위치한 휴양도시로 유럽에서 가장 오래된 로마시대 유적이 남아 있는 곳이다.
