최민호 시장이 25일 김기현 국민의힘 당대표와 윤재옥 원내대표, 이양수 원내수석부대표를 차례로 만나 미래전략수도 건설을 위한 주요 현안과제를 설명하고 협조를 요청했다.
26일 세종시에 따르면 이날 최민호 시장은 ▲국회 세종의사당 건립을 위한 국회규칙 조속 통과 ▲대통령 제2집무실 건립 지원 ▲재정특례 연장을 포함한 세종시법 개정안 조속 처리 ▲세종행정·지방법원 설치 등을 건의했다.
최민호 시장이 이번 방문은 최근 새로 출범한 국민의힘 지도부와 함께 윤석열 정부의 국정과제 중 하나인 행정수도 세종의 실현 방안을 논의하기 위해 이뤄졌다.
먼저 최민호 시장은 2025년 건축공사 착수를 거쳐 2028년 국회 세종의사당을 완공하려면 올해 설계 공모와 내년 기본 및 실시설계에 들어가야 한다며, 국회규칙을 하루빨리 통과시켜 줄 것을 요청했다.
