브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 오는 16일부터 전기 요금과 도시가스 요금이 인상된다.
국민의힘과 정부는 15일 오전 국회에서 당정협의회를 열고 전기·가스요금 추가 인상에 합의했으며 이창양 산업통상자원부 장관이 정부서울청사에서 브리핑을 통해 인상안을 확정·발표했다.
이에 따라 내일부터 전기요금은 ㎾h(킬로와트시)당 8원, 가스요금은 MJ(메가줄)당 1.04원이 오른다.
인상된 전기요금을 4인가구 한달 평균 사용량(332㎾h)으로 계산하면, 월 요금 부담이 3000원 가량 늘어난다. 가스요금은 4인 가구 한달 평균 가스 사용량(3861MJ)으로 계산하면 월 4400원 가량 오른다.
한국전력은 2021년 이후 누적 적자가 45조원에 달해 지난 1분기 전기요금을 13.1원 인상했으며 2분기에는 물가 상승 우려와 국민 여론등을 감안해 소폭 인상했다고 산업부는 설명했다.
한국가스공사 역시 올 1분기 기준 도시가스 미수금이 11조6000억원에 이른 만큼 요금 인상이 불가피하다고 했다.
산업부는 취약계층의 에너지 사용료 부담 완화 방안도 함께 발표했다.
우선 기초생활수급자, 차상위계층 등 에너지 취약계층에 대해서는 평균 전기 사용량 313㎾h까지는 인상 전 단가를 적용하고, 요금 인상분 적용을 1년간 유예하기로 했다. 다만 초과하는 사용량에는 인상 후 단가를 적용한다.
또한 기존 주택용에 제한적으로 운영해오던 전기요금 분할납부제도를 소상공인과 뿌리기업에까지 확대한다. 전기요금 분할납부제도는 오는 6~9월 한시 시행되며 월 요금 50% 이상 납부 후 남은 잔액을 최대 6개월간 분납할 수 있다.
아울러 일반 소비자 가구에 대해서도 냉방수요가 본격적으로 증가하는 7월부터 에너지캐시백 제도를 대폭 확대 적용하기로 했다. 전기요금의 경우 절감률에 따라 인센티브를 ㎾h 당 최대 100원까지 지급한다. 가스요금은 가정용 캐시백 인센티브 지급 절감량 기준을 7% 이상에서 3~5% 수준으로 완화한다.
