세종시가 유망기업 6곳과 2,500억 원 규모의 투자 협약을 31일 체결했다.
이날 투자협약을 체결한 유망기업은 한국유나이티드제약 ,대우볼트 ,레이크머티리얼즈 ,동양에이케이코리아 ,엠케이코리아 ,에이치이브 등 6곳이다.
협약에 따라 6개 기업은 전동산업단지와 벤처밸리산업단지 12만 6593㎡ 부지에 추가 공장을 신축하고 사업을 확장한다.
‘한국유나이티드제약’은 전동산단 2만 7,293㎡ 부지에 생산시설을 확장하며, ‘대우볼트’는 벤처밸리산단에 850억 원을 투자해 제2공장을 신설할 계획이다.
항공우주 소재산업 유망기업인 동양에이케이코리아와 엠케이코리아, 미래첨단소재(유기금속) 제조기업 레이크머티리얼즈, 자동차 와이어하네스 전문기업 에이치이브이도 생산시설 확장에 나선다
또 6개 기업은 투자이행과 함께 지역민 채용 등 지역사회발전을 위한 협력에 나서고 세종시는 이들 기업에게 행·재정 지원을 하게 된다.
최민호 세종시장은 “지역에 과감하고 선제적인 투자를 해주는 기업에 대한 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”라며 “경제 자족도시 완성을 위한 미래먹거리 산업을 유치하는 일에 최선을 다할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
한편, 세종시는 지난 1년간 총 27개사 1조 4000억 원 이상의 투자유치 성과를 거뒀다.
