브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 국민연금공단은 지난 14일 ‘제12회 대한민국 지식대상’에서 ‘데이터로 열어가는 스마트한 행정, 행복한 국민’이라는 사례로 행정안전부장관상을 수상했다고 15일 밝혔다.
‘대한민국 지식대상’은 2012년부터 행정안전부에서 지식행정·지식경영을 통해 정부혁신과 기업경쟁력 향상에 높은 성과를 낸 기관을 찾아 시상하고 그 성과를 확산하기 위해 매년 시행해오고 있다.
국민연금은 지난 30년 이상의 누적된 데이터를 바탕으로, 정부 부처·지자체 등 협업 기관의 정책 마련에 필요한 데이터를 생산·공유하여 국민체감형 정책 추진을 지원한 점을 높이 평가 받았다.
국민연금은 빅데이터를 활용해 전주시·경기도 등 주민 이동이 잦은 지역의 버스노선 확대·개편 및 교통시설 개선을 지원했고, 창원시·양주시 등 인구정책·근로자 관련 현황 및 정책 대상자 소득기준 분석을 통해 ‘맞춤형 정책 수립’에 기여했다.
또한, 한국은행 전북본부와의 협업으로 지역경제 동향 분석을 통해 경제 활성화 방안 마련을 지원했고, 전라북도와의 협업으로 지역기업 16개를 선정해 벤처 육성 및 창업을 지원했다.
이 외에도 국민연금은 전국 데이터안심구역 1호로 지정된 ‘빅데이터 센터’에서 공단 및 신용 데이터 등을 제공하여 정책 결정·지역 경제 활성화에 이바지하고 있으며, 민·관·학이 참여하는 전북 빅데이터 기술교류 공동 연구회를 설립해 정책 연구 활동을 활발하게 추진하고 있다.
김태현 이사장은 “이번 수상은 국민연금공단이 지식 행정분야에서 우수한 성과를 인정받은 것으로 데이터 기반의 혁신적인 행정을 선도하고 있다는 점에서 의미가 있다”며 “앞으로도 국민편익 제공과 국민이 체감할 수 있는 정책지원을 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
