“여성 재난위기가정을 응원합니다!”
희망브리지와 한화손해보험이 여성 재난위기가정을 위해 힘을 모았다.
희망브리지 전국재해구호협회(회장 송필호)는 한화손해보험(대표 나채범)과 함께 열악한 주거환경에 놓인 대전광역시 중구의 여성 재난위기가정 6곳을 찾아 도배 등 집수리 봉사를 전개했다고 18일 밝혔다.
지원 세대는 가정폭력으로 세 자녀를 홀로 키우는 모자가정, 천장 등 누수로 세숫대야를 두고 살던 독거 여성 가구, 정신질환을 앓는 아들을 돌보며 사는 모자가정, 27년간 한 번도 도배, 장판을 하지 않았던 98세 최고령 할머니 가구 등이다.
희망브리지 대학생 봉사단과 한화손해보험 직원, 대전 희망드림봉사단 등 총 70여명이 참여한 이번 행사의 발대식에는 희망브리지 김정희 사무총장, 대전광역시 중구 김광신 구청장, 한화손해보험 김영찬 대전보상센터장 등이 참석했다.
전국 각지에서 모인 봉사단은 중구청에서 추천받은 6개 가구를 대상으로 친환경 자재를 사용한 도배, 미끄럼 방지와 쿠션감을 개선한 장판 시공, 형광등 교체, 연기 감지 화재경보기 설치 등의 집수리 봉사 활동을 진행했다. 특히 고액 기부자들의 모임인 ‘희망브리지 아너스클럽’ 김종운 회원이 후원한 10만원 상당의 이부자리도 각 가구에 선물했다.
희망브리지와 한화손해보험이 함께 하는 집수리 봉사는 2015년을 시작으로 부산, 대전, 대구, 광주 등 4대 광역시를 중심으로 현재까지 1천732명의 자원봉사자의 참여로 196가구를 지원했으며 이날 활동으로 지원 세대는 2백 곳을 돌파하게 됐다.
이날 봉사에도 함께한 희망브리지 김정희 사무총장은 “노후화된 주택과 같은 열악한 주거 여건은 재난 발생 시 더욱 큰 피해를 부를 수 있다”라며, “모쪼록 오늘 활동으로 수혜 가구가 따뜻하고 안전한 한가위를 보내시기를 바라며 8년간 재난 피해 이웃을 위한 한결같은 마음을 보내주고 참여해 준 한화손해보험과 전국 각지에서 달려와 준 봉사단에도 깊이 감사드린다”라고 말했다.
대전 중구 김광신 구청장은 “전국에서 모인 희망브리지 대학생 봉사단과 한화손해보험 봉사단이 중구에서 가장 취약한 가정의 주거환경 개선을 함께 힘을 모은 뜻깊은 봉사”라며 감사의 마음을 전했다.

Hope Bridge and Hanwha Insurance join forces for women's disaster risk families
