(브레이크뉴스인천 문광수 기자) 인천시가 17일 행정안전부가 주관한 2023년 지역특성 살리기 공모에 최종 선정돼 특별교부세 5억 원을 확보했다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, 이번 공모는 행안부가 지역 고유의 특성을 활용해 지역경제 활력을 높이기 위해 추진했다.
공모에 접수한 총 169곳을 대상으로 실무 검토, 서면 심사 및 현장 심사를 거쳐 인천시를 비롯해 27개 지방자치단체를 선정했다.
인천시는 5개 분야(소규모 마을 경제 활력 제고, 지역특성 활용 로컬디자인, 일자리지원센터 활성화, 전통시장 주변 편의시설 조성, 맞춤형 골목경제 활성화) 중 지역 특성 활용 로컬디자인 분야에 ‘인천섬 통합 로컬디자인, 노을바다역 168’사업을 신청했다.
이 사업은 지방소멸시대에 유인섬의 소멸 위기 가속화와 지역 고유함의 중요성에 주목해 인천 내 168개 섬을 아우르는 통합 로컬디자인(노을가도)을 구축하고, 옹진군 덕적도 선착장 주변에 환경디자인 시범사업을 추진하는 사업이다.
인천시는 시범사업을 통해 노을바다역 선착장 게이트, 덕적바다역 리디자인, 바다마켓 간판 디자인 등을 개선하며 총사업비는 특교세를 포함해 총 10억 원이다.
