각 지역마다 탈모약 처방으로 유명한 병원들이 있다. 일명 마법의 탈모 조합약이다.
탈모치료를 위해서 조합약을 먹어야 되는지 묻는다면 단호하게 나와 내 아들에게는 절대 처방하지 않는다.

미녹시딜정은 혈관이완제, 스피로노락톤 (Spironolactone)은 이뇨제로 두 약물 모두 고혈압치료제다.
따라서 혈압이 정상인 사람이 장기복용하면 저혈압에 따른 부작용이 있을 수 있다. 저혈압 증상은 이상 징후가 대부분 없다. 그러나 심한 경우에는 실신에 이르기도 한다. 전조 증상으로 어지럽거나 기운이 없고, 피곤한 증상이 나타난다.
따라서 저혈압이 있거나, 혈압약을 복용 중인 사람은 미녹시딜정과 스피로노락톤을 함께 절대 복용해서는 안 된다. 또한, 정상혈압인 사람이 장기간 복용한 후 중단하게 되면 혈압이 올라가는 부작용도 있다는 것을 알아야 한다.
둘째, 약용량이다. 매일 먹는 고혈압이나 당뇨약, 하루에 한알씩 먹는것도 힘들고 지겨운데 5가지 약물을 매일 먹는데 과연 이 약을 언제까지 먹을 수 있을런지 의문이다. 만약, 조합약을 먹다가 중단할 경우 3개월이 지나면서 탈모는 다시 시작된다.
단순히 머리카락만 생각한다면 조합약은 좋은 처방일지는 몰라도 심혈관에 영향을 주기 때문에 장기간 복용하는 것은 신중해야 한다.
조합약 복용은 자칫 빈대 잡으려다 초가삼간 태우는 꼴이 될 수 있다. 조금 늦게 치료되더라도 안전하게 가는 것이 어떨런지~? 약은 될수록 적게 먹는게 좋다.
그렇다면 탈모 치료를 어떤 약물을 선택해야 할까?
피나스테리드 1mg을 복용하고 바르는 미녹시딜과 트레티노인을 권장하고 싶다. 사실 약을 바르는 것이 먹는 것보다는 불편하다.
하지만 안드로겐형 탈모는평생 복용해야 하기 때문에 될수 있으면 적은 용량을 복용하고 바르는 약을 선택하는 것이 부작용 없이 탈모를 치료할 수 있다.
