이번 '숲에서 발견한 위로'전시는'힐링'을 주제로 한 참여형 전시이다. 관람객들은 60여점의 다양한 설치미술, 미디어아트, 회화작품을 통해 직접 작품 속으로 들어가 작품과 교감하며, 생생한 감동의 순간을 느낄 수 있다.
전시는 크게 "동화의 숲", "치유의 숲", "사유의 숲"이라는 세 가지의 테마로 구성된다.
먼저 본사 1층 "동화의 숲" 테마에서는 오랜시간 사랑받은 고전동화 "이상한 나라의 앨리스"가 설치미술을 통해 재탄생된 전시를 볼 수 있다. 관람객들은 새로운 세계를 향한 도전과 용기의 상징인 '엘리스'를 통해 미래를 향한 새로운 각오를 다지고, 상상력과 동심을 자극하는 전시를 직접 체험해볼 수 있다.
1층의 또 다른 테마인 "치유의 숲" 에서는 첼로와 그랜드피아노의 음색이 어우러진 한 편의 프로젝트 맵핑을 감상할 수 있다. 프로젝트 매핑은 사물에 영상을 투영하여 생동감을 주는 미디어 아트로, 악기들의 연주에 맞춰 화려하고 강렬한 전시가 연출된다.
마지막 테마인 2층 "사유의 숲"에는 마치 실제로 숲을 산책을 하는 듯한 생동감 넘치는 그림들이 대거 전시되었다. 작품을 그린 안정환 작가는 "빛의 향연이 가득한 숲을 표현한 회화 속에서 시시각각 변화하는 자연의 모습을 마주하며 온전한 나로서 사색을 느껴보길 바란다"며 작품의 의도를 밝혔다.
이번 전시를 기획한 포스코갤러리 관계자는 "숨 가쁘게 달려온 한 해의 끝자락에서, 포항시민들이 전시를 통해 재충전 할 수 있는 힐링의 시간이 되길 바라는 마음으로 이번 전시를 준비했다"며 "전시를 통해 얻은 위로와 격려로, 내년에도 희망찬 도약을 할 수 있는 계기가 되길 바란다"고 전했다.

An official from POSCO Gallery, who planned this exhibition, said, "At the end of a hectic year, we prepared this exhibition with the hope that it would be a time of healing for Pohang citizens to recharge through the exhibition."
