군포의왕교육지원청(교육장 성정현)이 지난 12월 20일, 의왕시청 대회의실에서 ‘꿈, 멘토의 날’ 행사를 개최했다.
행사는 의왕시 진로지원센터 소속 꿈누리 오케스트라의 공연을 시작으로 우수 체험처 및 멘토에 대한 진로활성화 유공 표창(경기도군포의왕교육장상 및 의왕시장상), 2023년 진로지원센터 사업성과 활동 영상 시청, 체험처 및 진로강사 활동 사례 발표, 마술극단 초청 공연 등의 순서로 진행됐다.
진로교육 강사단 및 코치단, 재능기부자, 유관기관 멘토 등 100여명이 참삭한 이번 행사는 2023년 의왕시 청소년들의 진로교육을 위해 수고한 여러 분야의 인사(人士)를 초청, 감사의 마음을 나누고 관련 기관과의 긴밀한 협조체계를 구축하며 한 해 동안의 진로지원센터 성과 공유 및 각 분야별 활동 사례 나눔을 통해 2024년을 준비하기 위한 것이다.

성정현 군포의왕교육지원청 교육장은 “최근 학생의 성장 및 발달 단계에 맞는 다양한 진로교육이 강조되고 있다”며, “학생의 수요를 고려하고 지역과 연계한 다양한 진로체험활동을 통해 창의성과 융합적 마인드를 갖춘 미래형 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 노력해 달라. 교육지원청은 진로지원센터를 비롯한 진로 관련 유관기관과 지자체, 학교 등 교육 현장의 의견을 경청하고 진로체험교육이 활성화될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
