제22대 고양소방서장으로 정귀용 소방준감(54)이 취임했다.

정귀용 서장은 1일 휴일에도 불구하고 취임식 대신 스타필드 고양점을 찾아 화재예방을 위한 안전점검으로 첫 업무를 시작했다.
화재 등 재난상황 발생시 인명피해에 취약한 중점관리대상을 중심으로 고양시청과 합동점검을 통해 위험요소를 차단하고 화재를 예방하기 위해서 였다.
현장에 도착한 정 서장은 주요 소방시설과 피난·방화시설을 점검한 뒤 스타필드 고양점 관계자에게 소방시설 유지관리와 재난 시 신속한 초동 대처 등 안전관리를 당부했다.
한편, 정귀용 서장은 2001년 소방간부 11기로 소방에 입문했다.
이후 소방청 소방정책과·운영지원과, 경상북도 소방학교장, 경기도소방학교 교육지원과장, 경기도소방재난본부 회계장비담당관 등 주요 보직을 거쳐 업무 수행 능력을 인정받아 1월 1일자로 소방준감으로 승진하며 제22대 고양소방서장으로 취임하게 됐다.

정귀용 서장은 오랜 실무 경험을 바탕으로 현장 활동과 행정업무 수행 능력을 두루 갖춘 지휘관으로 지휘통솔 능력은 물론 업무추진력이 탁월하다는 평가를 받고 있다.
