파주시는 지난 9일 베이징대학창업훈련영, 지스페이스와 양해각서를 체결하고 글로벌 청년 인재 양성에 적극 협력하기로 했다.
베이징대학창업훈련영은 중국 최고 명문대학인 베이징대학 내 조직으로, 대학 출신 경제 인사 등을 창업 멘토로 활용해 중국 지방 정부와 협력하고 있는 기관이다.
중국 광구창업카페의 한국지사인 지스페이스는 2023년 설립해 국내 스타트업을 발굴하고 중국 진출을 돕는 역할을 하고 있다.

이날 체결식에는 김경일 파주시장, 왕지엔 베이징대학창업훈련영 대표, 이상운 지스페이스 대표, 박정 국회의원이 참석했다.
각 기관은 이번 협약에 따라 ▲창업 교육 프로그램 공유 ▲창업 관련 정보 공유 ▲창업세미나 ▲창업 비법 전수 등을 추진해 나갈 예정이며, 청년 창업 활동을 통한 일자리 창출을 주된 목표로 적극 협력하기로 했다.
박정 국회의원은 “국내와 중국의 우수한 청년들이 파주에서 베이징창업훈련영의 우수한 창업 비법을 배울 수 있는 계기가 될 것이며, 나아가 파주 평화경제특구에 들어설 첨단산업을 이끄는 주역이 될 청년이 양성될 것으로 기대한다”라고 전했다.
