브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= LG유플러스는 다가오는 설을 맞아 1300여 중소 협력사들이 안정적으로 자금 유동성을 확보할 수 있도록 납품대금 200억원을 100% 현금으로 조기 지급한다고 30일 밝혔다.
LG유플러스는 2014년부터 추석·설 명절 전 납품대금을 조기에 집행하며 협력사들과 상생을 도모해왔다. 지난 해 말까지 누적 조기 집행된 납품대금 누적 액수는 4100억원에 이른다. 이번 설 납품대금 조기 지급도 지난해 연말 긴 연휴 기간을 앞두고 중소 협력사에 대금을 조기 지급한 이후 약 1개월 만에 추가로 이뤄졌다.
조기 집행자금은 무선 중계기 및 유선 네트워크 장비 등의 납품, 네트워크 공사, IT 개발 및 운영 등을 담당하는 협력사에 제공된다. 협력사는 신제품 생산 및 설비 투자, 연구개발 비용 등에 조기 확보한 대금을 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
아울러 LG유플러스는 중소 협력사의 자금 유동성을 지원하기 위해 IBK기업은행과 연계해 저금리로 자금을 대여해주는 ‘동반성장 펀드’와 협력사의 신제품 개발 자금 등을 직접 지원하는 프로그램도 운영하고 있다.
이 밖에도 중소기업의 생산성 향상을 종합적으로 지원하는 컨설팅, 중소 협력사들이 통신장비나 솔루션 개발 아이디어를 제안하면 심사를 거쳐 채택된 제품에 대해 일정 수준의 구매를 보장하는 ‘협력사 제안의 날’과, 공급망 관리를 위한 협력사 ESG컨설팅 지원, 중소협력사를 대표하는 협력사 협의체인 동반성장보드를 운영하며, 협력사와 함께 소통하여 협력사의 성장을 지원하고 있다.
