(브레이크뉴스인천 문광수 기자) 부천시가 지난달 31일 보건복지부로부터 부천시립노인전문병원이 치매안심병원으로 지정됐다고 밝혔다.
부천시에 따르면, 이번 부천시립노인전문병원의 치매안심병원 지정은 경기도 최초이며, 전국에서는 17번째이다.
치매안심병원은 치매관리법에 따라 치매의 진단과 치료, 요양 등 치매 관련 의료서비스를 전문적이고 체계적으로 제공하기 위한 인력·시설·장비를 갖추었다고 보건복지부 장관이 인정하는 기관이다.
치매안심병원은 신경과 전문의, 치매 전문간호사, 작업치료사, 임상심리사, 사회복지사 등으로 구성된 치매전담팀을 운영하여 행동심리증상, 섬망 등의 증상이 있는 치매 환자에게 전문적인 의료서비스를 제공하여 지역사회로의 복귀를 지원한다.
부천시는 부천시립노인전문병원의 치매전문병동의 시설·장비 보강을 위해 총 13억 8,500만 원(국비, 시비)의 예산을 지원했다.
