이번 협약을 통해 두 회사는 한수원이 보유한 다양한 데이터를 기반으로 네이버의 초대규모 인공지능 모델인 ‘하이퍼클로바X’를 활용해 원전 운영 혁신과 업무생산성 향상을 위해 협력하기로 했다.
한수원은 40여년 이상 축적된 원전 운전 경험 자료와 각종 절차서를 인공지능에 학습시켜 다양한 상황에서의 운전지원, 건설·운영 단계에서의 규범 및 기술기준 준수 여부 등을인공지능이 안내하도록 해 원전 안전성과 운영 효율성을 높인다는 방침이다.
또, 각종 문서 작성과 회의록 요약 등 개인 비서 기능을 통해 인공지능과 함께 일하는 방식으로 전환하고자 한수원 특화 생성형 인공지능 구축을 계획하고 있다.
이에 양사는 협약을 통해 원전사업에 있어 무엇보다도 중요한 데이터의 보안성 확보와 한수원 업무에 특화된 인공지능 구축을 위한 전략 수립 등에 적극 협력하기로 했다.
황주호 한수원 사장은 “인공지능 기술은 원전 안전성과 효율성을 높이는 데에 큰 역할을 할 것으로 기대되며, 이번 네이버클라우드와의 기술협력을 통해 원전산업의 초격차 기술을 확보하는 데에 큰 도움이 되기를 바란다”고 밝혔다.
