브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 삼성전자는 AI와 3D 기술을 적용해 스마트싱스(SmartThings)의 ‘맵뷰(Map View)’ 서비스를 강화한다고 21일 밝혔다.
맵뷰는 스마트싱스에서 주거 공간의 가상 도면을 보면서 공간별 기기를 한눈에 파악하고 관리할 수 있는 서비스다. 집안의 연결 기기가 계속 늘어나도 기기 목록에서 필요한 제품을 일일이 찾지 않아도 돼 훨씬 편리하게 스마트 홈 기능을 이용할 수 있게 해준다.
삼성전자는 최근 공간 AI(Spatial AI) 기술을 활용한 맵뷰 자동 생성, 3차원 보기 기능을 업데이트하고, 서비스 지원 기기와 국가를 확대했다.
맵뷰는 ‘비스포크 제트 봇 AI’와 같이 라이다(LiDAR) 센서를 가진 기기가 집의 구조와 크기를 측정해 평면도를 생성하는 기능을 추가했다. 기존에는 평면도가 제공되는 주택에 한해 맵 자동 생성 기능을 사용할 수 있었으나, 이제 평면도를 확보하기 어려운 상황이라도 실제 집과 유사하게 평면도를 만들어 이용할 수 있다.
