고양특례시는 25일 시청 대회의실에서 이동환 고양특례시장, 조우석 국토지리정보원장을 비롯한 관계 공무원과 전문가 등이 참석한 가운데‘고정밀 전자지도 구축 챌린지 사업’착수보고회를 개최했다.
고정밀 전자지도는 1:1000 수치지형도를 포함한 각종 3차원 공간정보 데이터를 구조화해 전산화한 지도이다.
가상 모형(디지털 트윈)을 기반으로 한 고정밀 전자지도는 차세대 행정업무를 원활하게 지원하고 도시 관리를 위한 정책 마련에 활용될 예정이다.

이번 착수보고회에서는 용역 수행사의 추진보고에 이어 성공적인 고정밀 전자지도 구축을 위한 다양한 추진사례와 활성화 방안에 대해 심도있는 논의가 오갔다.
사업은 2024년 12월까지 마무리하고 고양특례시만의 스마트행정 사업을 지속적으로 발굴하여 활용체계를 확산할 예정이다.
