과천시 갈현동 문화교육센터가 지난 4월 15일 과천지식정보타운 스마트케이타워(과천대로7길 26, B동 B-101호)에서 개소식을 갖고 본격적인 운영에 들어갔다.
이날 개소식에는 신계용 과천시장과 갈현동 주민자치위원회 위원 등 주민들이 참석해 현판 제막식을 가지고 문화교육센터 시설을 관람했다.
갈현동 문화교육센터는 갈현동 행정복지센터 신청사가 건립되는 2026년 상반기까지 스마트케이타워에서 임시로 운영되며 전용면적 155.4㎡ 규모로, 강의실, 체육실, 사무실 등으로 조성됐다. 문화교육센터 강좌 중 탁구와 어린이 줄넘기는 관내 기업의 다목적실(과천대로2길 48, 펄어비스 사옥 내)에서 진행된다.

지윤근 갈현동 주민자치위원장은 “앞으로도 주민들과 소통하며 현장 수요와 트렌드를 반영한 다양한 프로그램을 발굴하여 주민들의 만족도를 높일 계획”이라고 밝혔다.
신계용 과천시장은 축사에서 “갈현동 문화교육센터를 주민들의 자기계발의 장이자 지역주민이 함께하는 공동체로 가꾸어 달라”라고 당부했다.
한편, 매 분기 개강하는 갈현동 문화교육센터 프로그램은 관내 유아, 어린이, 성인 등 다양한 연령대가 수강할 수 있도록 총 18개 강좌로 구성됐다.

Meanwhile, the Galhyeon-dong Cultural Education Center program, which opens every quarter, consists of a total of 18 courses that can be taken by various age groups, including infants, children, and adults.
