충남 천안시가 악성 민원인으로부터 폭언과 협박에 시달리는 민원실 담당 공무원들을 보호하기 위해 휴대용 디지털 캠코더 일명 ‘바디캠’을 지급했다고 24일 밝혔다.
시는 이번 달 9일과 21일 시청 및 양 구청, 읍면동 민원담당자를 대상으로 악성민원 대응 교육 및 휴대용 보호장비 운영 지침 교육을 실시하고 바디캠을 배부했다.
이번에 지급된 바디캠은 명찰 기능이 있어 평상시에는 명찰 대신 패용하고 근무하다가 비상시 버튼 한 번 조작으로 녹음, 녹화 등 언제 어디서 생길지 모르는 사건 사고에 대비할 수 있다.
시는 민원 응대시 발생할 수 있는 민원인의 폭언·폭행 등 위법행위로부터 민원실 담당 공무원의 안전 보장을 위해 민원 담당자에 우선 보급하고 추후 확대해 나갈 계획이다.
