한수원에 따르면‘안심카 플러스’는 전국 아동복지시설 어린이들의 안전한 통학환경 조성과 다양한 현장체험 기회 제공을 위해 어린이 통학용 승합차를 지원하는 한수원의 대표 사회공헌 사업이다. 한수원은 2012년 첫 사업을 시작한 이래 올해까지 전국 640곳의 지역아동센터 및 아동복지시설에 640대의 차량을 지원했다.
특히 2021년에 도로교통법상 어린이통학버스 신고의무 대상이 확대되고 안전설비 기준이 강화됨에 따라 한수원은 기존 지원한 차량의 구조변경을 지원하는 등 일회성 지원에 그치지 않고 꾸준한 관심으로 사업을 이어가고 있다. 더불어 한수원이 지원하는 차량은 강화된 안전 기준을 넘어서는 최고 수준의 안전 사양을 갖추고 있다.
이번에 안심카를 지원받게 된 그루터기지역아동센터 김연옥 센터장은 “한수원에서 지원해주신 안심카로 아이들을 안전하게 통학시키고 다양한 현장 체험을 통해 아이들이 폭넓은 경험을 할 수 있도록 하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
황주호 한수원 사장은 “전국의 안심카가 어린이들이 행복과 꿈을 키워나가는 길에 안전을 책임지고 안심을 더해주기를 바란다”며, “한수원은 앞으로도 우리의 미래 세대를 위해 세심하고 다양한 지원 정책을 적극 펼치겠다”라고 말했다.
