용인특례시의회, 이동노동자 권익 보호 지원

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 용인특례시의회 김영식 의원은 이동노동자 권익 보호를 위한 지원 조례안이 가결됐다.

5일 제286회 임시회 제2차 본회의에서 가결된 조례안은 이동노동자의 권익 보호에 필요한 사항을 규정함으로써 용인시 이동노동자의 노동환경 개선과 복지증진에 이바지하고자 제정됐다.

주요 내용은 ▲이동노동자의 권익보호 및 복지증진 관련 사업 등의 사업 지원 ▲이동노동자 쉼터 설치·운영 등이다.

이동노동자란 택배 노동자, 배달 노동자, 퀵서비스 종사원, 요양보호사, 학습지 교사 등과 같이 직무의 특성상 업무 장소가 고정되어 있지 않고 주로 이동을 통해 이루어지는 노동자를 말한다.

김영식 의원은 “조례를 통해 이동노동자의 권익 보호와 지위 향상을 위한 실질적 제도와 근거를 마련해 추진할 수 있게 됨으로써 안전하고 건강한 노동환경을 조성해 이용자인 시민이 양질의 서비스를 제공받을 수 있을 것으로 기대된다”고 말했다.
