윤석열 대통령이 19일 신임 법무부 차관에 김석우(52·사법연수원 27기) 법무부 법무연수원장을 내정했다고 대통령실이 전했다.
대통령실은 이날 오후 언론 공지에서 이같은 인사 사안을 전했다.
대구 출신 김 차관은 덕원고·서울대 법학과를 졸업하고 지난 1995년 제37회 사법시험에 합격해 1998년 사법연수원 27기로 수료했다.
그 후 서울중앙지방검찰청 특수3부장검사·법무부 검찰제도개선기획단장·헌법쟁점연구TF 팀장·법무실장 등을 역임한 검찰제도·법무행정 전문가다.
대통령실은 "법무행정 전반에 대한 풍부한 경험·전문성을 바탕으로 법무부 주요 국정과제를 내실있게 추진해 나갈 적임자"라고 인선 배경을 전했다.
김 차관 내정과 함께 후속 검찰 인사도 이뤄진 가운데 후임 법무연수원장엔 검찰총장 후보로 지명됐던 신자용 대검찰청 차장, 후임 대검 차장 역시 검찰총장 후보에 올랐던 이진동 대구고검장이 맡게 됐다.
