브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 발전 6사에서 발생한 안전사고 사상자 중 약 85%가 협력사 노동자인 것으로 확인됐다.
더불어민주당 송재봉 국회의원이 한국수력원자력·한국남동발전·한국중부발전·한국서부발전·한국남부발전·한국동서발전 등 한국전력 산하 발전 공기업 6사로부터 제출받은 자료를 분석한 결과, 최근 5년간 안전사고로 인한 사상자가 534명에 달하는 것으로 나타났다. 그중 협력사 직원은 453명(84.8%)이었다.
발전사별 사상자는 한국수력원자력(333명)이 압도적으로 많았고, 그중 협력사 직원 비중은 87.1%(290명)에 달했다. 전체 사상자 중 협력사 비중이 가장 높은 발전사는 한국동서발전(25명, 92.6%)이었다.
특히, 가장 많은 사상자가 발생한 한국수력원자력의 경우 안전사고에 대한 특단의 대책이 필요하다는 지적이 제기되고 있다. 지난 5년간 안전사고 발생 건수가 감소 추세에 있긴 하지만, 올해도 28건이 발생하며 전체 안전사고(47건)의 절반 이상을 차지했다.
송 의원은 “발전사들의 ‘위험의 외주화’가 심각한 상태”라며 “본사, 협력사 소속과 구분 없이 일하는 노동자 모두가 안심하고 안전하게 일할 수 있는 환경 조성을 위해 근본적인 대책을 마련해야 한다”고 말했다.
