GC녹십자의료재단이 경남 양산에 영남 분원을 준공했다.
GC녹십자의료재단(대표원장 이상곤)은 양산에서 영남 분원 준공식을 개최했다고 10월 8일 밝혔다. 이는 호남과 제주에 이어 영남 지역의 검사센터로, 지역사회 기반의 검체 검사 서비스를 강화하기 위한 것이다.
GC녹십자의료재단은 “영남 분원은 GC녹십자의료재단의 세 번째 지역거점 검사센터”라며 “기존 수도권, 호남권, 제주에 집중되어 있던 검사 역량을 영남권까지 확대해 지역사회 기반의 검체 검사 서비스를 한층 더 강화하기 위해 설립됐다”고 설명했다.
재단 측에 따르면 새롭게 준공한 영남 분원은 총 6개 층(지하 1층, 지상 5층), 연면적 약 5,589.45㎡(1,\694평)으로 권역 내 최대 규모다.
특히, 아시아 태평양 지역 최초로 검체의 수평 및 수직 이동이 가능한 로슈진단의 검사실 전자동화 장비를 도입해 검사업무의 효율을 제고하며, ▲1일 2회 검체 수거 ▲24시간 검사실 운영 ▲응급 검사 시스템 도입 ▲감염병 통계정보 제공 등 맞춤형 검사체계 운영을 통해 지역 병·의원을 대상으로 최적의 검체 검사 서비스를 지원한다.
이상곤 GC녹십자의료재단 대표원장은 “GC녹십자의료재단 영남 분원 개원으로 경남·경북 지역에 재단의 우수한 검체 검사 서비스를 더 가까이서 신속하게 제공할 수 있게 됐다”며 “지역민의 건강과 안녕을 책임지는 영남지역 거점 검사센터로서 지역 내 보건의료 수준 및 접근성 향상을 위해 최선을 다할 것”이라고 말했다.
한편, 이날 준공식에는 허일섭 GC(녹십자홀딩스) 회장, 박용태 GC 부회장, 이상곤 GC녹십자의료재단 대표원장을 비롯한 각 GC 가족사 대표 및 안갑숙 양산시 보건소장, 전사일 대한진단검사의학회 이사장 등 주요 내외빈이 참석했다.

GC Green Cross and Red Crescent Medical Foundation has completed the construction of the Yeongnam Branch in Yangsan, Gyeongnam.
On October 8, GC Green Cross & Shield Foundation (CEO Lee Sang-gon) announced the completion ceremony of its Yeongnam branch in Yangsan, South Korea. This is the third testing center in the Yeongnam region after Honam and Jeju, and is aimed at strengthening community-based specimen testing services.
“Yeongnam Branch is the third regional-based testing center of GCMC,” said the foundation. ”It was established to further strengthen community-based testing services by expanding its testing capabilities, which were previously concentrated in the Seoul metropolitan area, Honam, and Jeju, to the Yeongnam region.”
The newly completed Yeongnam branch is the largest in the region with a total of six floors (one basement and five floors above ground) and a gross floor area of approximately 5,589.45㎡ (1,694 pyeong).
In particular, it is the first in the Asia-Pacific region to introduce Roche Diagnostics' fully automated laboratory equipment that allows horizontal and vertical movement of specimens to improve the efficiency of testing, and supports optimal testing services for local hospitals and doctors by operating a customized testing system such as collecting specimens twice a day, operating a 24-hour laboratory, introducing an emergency testing system, and providing statistical information on infectious diseases.
“With the opening of the GC Green Cross Medical Foundation Yeongnam Branch, we will be able to provide our excellent testing services closer and faster to the Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk regions,” said Lee Sang-gon, CEO of the GC Green Cross Medical Foundation. ”As a testing center based in the Yeongnam region responsible for the health and well-being of local people, we will do our best to improve the level and accessibility of healthcare in the region.”
The completion ceremony was attended by GC (Green Cross Holdings) Chairman Heo Il-seop, GC Vice Chairman Park Yong-tae, GC Green Cross Medical Foundation President Lee Sang-gon, and representatives from each GC family company, including Ahn Gap-sook, director of Yangsan City Health Center, and Jeon Il-sil, chairman of the Korean Society of Diagnostic and Laboratory Medicine.
