수원시, 외국인 노동자 ‘노동법 교육·법률상담’ 지원

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이현준기자] 수원시가 관내 외국인 노동자를 대상으로 ‘찾아가는 노동법 교육·법률상담’을 진행했다.

수원시비정규직노동자복지센터가 주관한 이날 행사에서 전문 강사와 노무사가 임금계산, 최저임금, 임금체불 해결 방법, 산업재해 보상과 신청 절차 등을 지난 13일 수원이주민센터에서 교육했다.

변호사와 노무사는 노동권리 보호에 취약한 외국인 노동자들이 겪는 법률문제를 상담했다. 한국어에 능숙한 외국인 노동자들이 통역을 도왔다.

수원시 관계자는 “외국인 노동자는 노동인권이 지켜지지 못하는 경우가 많음에도 불구하고 법률 전문가의 도움을 받기 어렵다”며 “외국인 노동자의 권리보호를 위해 지속해서 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
