삼성생명이 개최한 ‘2024 삼성생명 배드민턴 페스티벌’이 성황리에 끝났다.
삼성생명은 10월 12일과 13일 이틀간 인천 남동체육관에서 ‘2024 삼성생명 배드민턴 페스티벌(이하 배드민턴 페스티벌)’을 개최했다고 10월 14일 밝혔다.
‘배드민턴 페스티벌’은 국내 최고 수준의 남녀 배드민턴 선수단을 보유한 삼성생명이 배드민턴 저변을 확대하고 생활체육 발전에 기여하기 위해 2023년부터 운영하고 있는 동호인 배드민턴 대회다.
삼성생명에 따르면 이번 페스티벌에는 총 1600개 팀, 3200여 명이 참가했다고 한다. 이번 대회 참가 등록은 시작 23분 만에 마감될 정도로 뜨거운 관심을 받았다.
대회는 참가자와 가족, 관람객이 소통하고 화합할 수 있는 축제로 기획되었으며, 급수별 남자복식, 여자복식, 혼합복식 경기가 진행되었다. 특히 가족 단위 팀 참가가 많아 건강하고 즐거운 분위기를 더했다.
경기 외에도 삼성생명 소속 선수들의 시범경기와 사인회, 다양한 게임 부스와 경품 추첨 이벤트가 마련되어 관객들의 큰 호응을 얻었다. 특히 시범경기가 끝난 뒤에는 안세영, 김원호 등 배드민턴 국가대표 선수들의 사인회가 열려 호응을 얻었다.
외부 광장에 마련된 ‘플레이 그라운드’에서는 ‘풍선 다트’, ‘럭키 룰렛’ 등 누구나 참여하여 소정의 상품을 받을 수 있는 게임 부스가 운영됐다. 이외에도 각종 전자제품과 모바일 기기 등 다양한 경품 추첨 이벤트가 함께 진행됐다.

The Badminton Festival is a recreational badminton tournament that Samsung Life, which has one of the best men's and women's badminton teams in Korea, has been organizing since 2023 to expand the popularity of badminton and contribute to the development of sports in Korea.
According to Samsung Life, a total of 1600 teams and more than 3200 participants participated in the festival. Registration for the tournament was so popular that it closed just 23 minutes after it started.
The tournament was designed as a festival where participants, their families, and spectators could communicate and unite, and was held in men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles by class. In particular, many family teams participated, adding to the healthy and fun atmosphere.
In addition to the matches, there were exhibition matches and autograph sessions by Samsung Life players, as well as various game booths and prize draws, which were well received by the audience. In particular, after the exhibition match, national badminton players such as Ahn Se-young and Kim Won-ho signed autographs.
At the 'Play Ground' in the plaza outside, there were game booths such as 'Balloon Darts' and 'Lucky Roulette' where anyone could participate and win small prizes. In addition, various prize draws were held for various electronics and mobile devices.
