진주시, 진양호 우드랜드 ‘하모 유아숲체험원’ 개장

[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 오는 11월 1일부터 하모 유아숲체험원 개장하고 진양호 우드랜드 뒤편 산을 활용한 유아숲 프로그램 운영을 시작한다고 24일 밝혔다.

하모 유아숲체험원’은 어린이가 자연과 놀이를 즐길 수 있는 약 6000㎡ 규모의 숲 체험 공간을 조성, 다채로운 놀이시설까지 설치 완료해 시민들을 맞이할 준비를 마쳤다.

이곳은 10월 공립 유아숲체험원으로 등록해 유아숲 프로그램은 5~7세 유아를 대상으로 한 체험 활동으로 진양호공원 기존 시설과 어우러지는 내용으로 구성했다.

시는 신체 활동과 오감체험을 할 수 있는 하모교실 숲, 공간감과 탐구력을 기를 수 있는 통나무놀이 숲, 모험심과 협동심을 향상시키는 네트체험 숲 등 3가지 테마 프로그램을 운영할 계획이다.

특히 시는 목공체험의 수요가 늘어남에 따라 우드랜드 부속건물을 추가로 건립해 체험실과 전시공간을 확장할 예정이며, 인근 하모 유아숲체험원과 연계돼 더욱 다채로운 체험이 가능하게 됐다는 설명이다.

진주시 관계자는 “진양호 우드랜드도 숲체험 프로그램을 운영하면서 동·서부지역에 균형 있는 산림복지 서비스를 제공한다”며“진주 서부권 시민들도 더욱 편하게 숲 체험을 즐길 수 있게 됐다”고 말했다.
