부영주택이 기업의 사회적 책임을 다하기 위해 김해 제2특수학교 설립을 돕는다.
부영그룹 계열사 ㈜부영주택은 10월 29일 김해시, 경남교육청과 김해 제2특수학교 설립을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 10월 31일 밝혔다.
김해시 관내에는 지속적으로 장애 학생이 증가하고 있는 반면 현재 운영 중인 특수학교가 김해은혜학교 한 곳으로 과대·과밀 학교로 운영되고 있었다. 이에 따라 특수학교 추가 설립 요구가 많았다. 부영주택이 김해 제2특수학교 설립을 위해 경남교육청과 업무협약을 맺으면서 심각한 과밀 문제를 해결할 수 있게 됐다.
김해 제2특수학교 설립 부지는 당초 주촌면 농소리 631-4번지 초등학교 용지로 추진했으나 교육환경평가 결과, 향후 인근에 ㈜부영주택의 공동주택 건립 시 교지 내 일조권 부족 우려가 있었다.
이런 우려를 해소하고자 ㈜부영주택의 631-2번지 부지와 경남교육청의 학교용지(631-4번지)를 교환해 설립하기로 최종 합의했으며 김해시는 부지 교환에 필요한 행정 절차 추진에 적극 협력하기로 했다.
김해 제2특수학교는 직업교육 특성화를 위한 고등학교와 전공과 등 장애학생 진로 직업교육과 취업 지원 강화를 위한 전문화된 교육과정을 운영하게 되며 총 25학급 규모로 2029년 개교 예정이다.
최양환 ㈜부영주택 대표이사는 “지역사회 특수교육 대상자에게 도움이 될 수 있어서 매우 기쁘다”며 “향후 절차도 원만히 추진돼 김해 제2특수학교가 조속히 개교할 수 있도록 기업의 사회적 책임을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, ㈜부영주택은 해당 부지인 김해산단 1‧2블록에 전용면적 59~84㎡ 총 2,194세대의 대단지 아파트 공급을 앞두고 있다.
