2024년을 감동과 울림의 한 해라 정의한 홍 시장은 3대 메가이벤트의 성공 개최를 중심으로 글로컬 대학 유치, 매니페스토 공약이행평가 최우수 등급 획득, 강소연구개발특구 2단계 사업 선정, 환경교육도시 및 그린시티 선정을 올해의 괄목한 만한 성과로 꼽았다.
