[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 지난 10월 16일부터 20일까지 열린 2024 세계유산 가야문화축제 행사 평가에서 내년에도 다시 찾아오겠다는 방문객이 늘어난 것으로 나타났다.
김해시는 지난 4일 시청 대회의실에서 2024 세계유산 가야문화축제 평가보고회를 갖고 축제 전반에 대한 종합평가, 방문객 만족도 조사, 지역경제효과 분석, 향후 축제 발전을 위한 개선 방안 등을 제시했다.
이날 행사에는 축제관계자, 자원봉사자 등 200여명이 참석했으며 제전위원 위촉, 축제유공자 표창 수여, 평가용역 결과 보고 질의응답 순으로 진행됐다.
임기가 만료된 가야문화축제제전위원회 제전위원을 새로 위촉하고 위원장으로는 부원동 새마을금고 이사장으로 재직 중인 주영길씨가 호선됐으며 이번 축제에 투철한 봉사 정신으로 성공적인 축제에 기여한 유공자 18명에 대한 시장 표창도 주어졌다.
축제 평가 용역을 수행한 영산대학교 오창호 교수는 ‘내년에도 가야문화축제를 방문하고 싶다’는 4.38점으로 평균을 상회했다고 밝혔다.
만족도 조사는 축제 콘텐츠 적절성, 축제 운영·관리, 전문성 및 완성도, 지역발전 기여도, 전반적 만족도로 총 26개 항목으로 이뤄졌으며 ‘전반적 만족도에 대한 평가’에서 5점 만점에 평균 4.31점을 기록했다.
축제 기간 계속된 비로 방문객은 다소 감소했으나 날이 갠 축제 마지막 날 폐막공연과 불꽃쇼에는 역대 최다 관객이 방문해 축제장을 가득 메운 것은 인상적인 광경이었다.
평가보고회에 이어 가야문화축제 관련 질의응답을 통해 향후 대한민국 대표 축제로 진입하기 위한 방법을 모색하고 축제를 발전시키기 위한 열띤 토론으로 행사를 마무리했다.
홍태용 시장은 “가야문화축제가 김해를 대표하는, 더 나아가 대한민국을 대표하는 축제로서 전국에서 우리시를 찾게 되는 그날까지 더 고민하고 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
