농협중앙회(회장 강호동) 임직원 30여 명이 9일 충북 음성군 삼성면의 농가를 방문해 폭설 피해복구를 위한 일손돕기 행사에 나섰다.
충북 음성군은 11월 26일부터 29일 사이의 폭설로 심각한 피해를 입었으며, 복구를 위한 인력이 절실한 상황이다. 농협 임직원들은 비닐하우스 내 화훼류 운반과 화분 정리에 참여했다.
지준섭 농협 부회장은 “11월의 기록적인 폭설로 농업시설과 농작물에 큰 피해가 발생했다”며, “농협 임직원들은 피해 농업인들이 빠르게 일상으로 돌아갈 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
농협은 폭설 피해복구를 위해 무이자 재해자금 지원, 하우스 필름 할인 공급, 중장비 긴급 지원, 일손돕기, 신속한 손해조사 및 보험금 조기 지급, 피해 조합원에게 무이자 긴급생활안정자금 지원 등 다양한 지원 방안을 마련하고 있다.
Nonghyup employees help with heavy snow damage
More than 30 employees of the Nonghyup Central Association (Chairman Kang Ho-dong) visited farmers in Samseong-myeon, Eumseong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, on the 9th to help them recover from heavy snowfall.
Eumseong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, was severely damaged by heavy snowfall between November 26 and 29, and is in urgent need of manpower for recovery. Nonghyup employees participated in transporting flowers and organizing pots in greenhouses.
“The record heavy snowfall in November caused great damage to agricultural facilities and crops,” said Ji Jun-seop, vice chairman of Nonghyup. ”Nonghyup employees will actively support the affected farmers to quickly return to their daily lives.”
Nonghyup is providing various support measures to recover from the heavy snowfall, including providing interest-free disaster funds, discounted house film, emergency support for heavy equipment, labor assistance, prompt damage inspections and early payment of insurance claims, and interest-free emergency livelihood funds to affected members.
