세종시가 읍면지역 수요응답형버스인 두루타버스의 일부 정류장에 호출벨을 설치하여 주민들의 이용 편의를 높일 계획이라고 12일 밝혔다.
오는 31일부터 연동, 부강, 전동의 일부 정류장에서 호출벨 서비스가 시범 운영될 예정이다.
현재 두루타버스는 스마트폰 앱과 콜센터를 통해 실시간으로 호출할 수 있으며, 이번에 설치된 호출벨은 버튼을 누르면 즉시 콜센터와 연결되어 탑승 인원 확인 후 차량 도착 시간을 안내하는 서비스를 제공한다.
세종시는 이용률이 높은 마을회관 등 84곳에 호출벨을 우선 설치하여 여러 명의 탑승객이 함께 호출해 두루타버스에 탑승할 수 있도록 했다.
또한, 민간에서 별도로 운영되던 두루타 앱은 세종시 통합교통플랫폼인 ‘이응패스’ 앱으로 통합되어 두루타버스 이용이 더욱 편리해질 예정이다.
세종시는 2019년부터 읍면지역의 교통 불편 해소를 위해 9개 읍면지역에 수요응답형 버스인 두루타버스를 운영해 왔으며, 지난해 10월부터는 노선 개편의 일환으로 연동, 부강, 전동지역에 실시간 예약 호출 서비스를 도입했다.
