사전투표와 전자개표기가 본격화되면서 선거부정이 큰 이슈로 자리잡았다. 선거부정의혹을 주장하는 사람들을 극우음모론으로 몰아 아예 입을 틀어막으려는 세력도 형성되었다.
맹목적인 선거부정론이나 적대적인 음모론 모두 이제 이성으로 돌아와야 한다.
선거부정의혹이 있으면 수사와 재판을 통해 말끔하게 진실을 규명하면 끝난다. 그런데 지금까지 그 많은 의혹이 제기되었지만 제대로 된 수사결과가 공개된 적이 없고, 쾌도난마 같은 재판을 본 기억이 없다. 6개월 안에 끝내야 할 재판을 3년 이상 질질 끌다 유야무야시켜 버렸다.
대리투표, 투표함 바꿔치기, 수개표부정 같은 전통적인 선거부정을 주장하는 사람은 이제 없다. 주로 의혹은 전자개표기 프로그램과 관련하여 제기된다.
윤석열 대통령은 지난 담화에서 계엄군에 중앙선관위에 있는 선거관리전산시스템의 서버를 점검하도록 한 이유를 설명했다.

선거의 정확성에 대한 믿음은 민주주의의 출발이다. 선거부정 의혹을 말끔히 해소하는 일이 그래서 중요하다.
그런데 중앙선관위는 한 술 더 떠서 세금 24억 원을 들여 서버를 교체하겠다고 나선다. 참 기가 막힐 일이다. 국정원은 국가안보의 최고 점검기관이다. 지금이라도 중앙선관위는 국정원에 모든 프로그램에 대한 완벽한 점검을 요청해야 한다.
점검결과 외부 해킹 흔적이 있으면 수사를 요청하고, 흔적이 없으면 국민에 공개하여 의혹을 해소시키면 된다. 그래야 중앙선관위도 살고 민주주의도 산다. 도대체 언제까지 이 혼란을 끌고 갈 것인가!
