충남 서산시는 지난 17일 2025년도 본예산을 1조 2천498억 원으로 확정했다고 밝혔다.
이는 2024년 본예산보다 약 1천억 원 증가한 규모로, 외부 재원 확보를 위한 노력의 결실로 평가된다.
확정된 본예산은 일반회계 1조 1천253억 원, 특별회계 1천245억 원으로 편성되었으며, 경기침체로 인한 어려운 재정 상황 속에서도 시는 공모사업 선정과 국·도비 보조금 증액 확보에 힘썼다.
이를 통해 외부 재원을 적극적으로 확보하며 재정 건전성을 유지하고 있다.
서산시는 고강도의 세출 구조조정을 통해 소모성 경비를 최대한 절감하는 한편, 미래 성장동력을 확보하기 위해 산업, 중소기업 및 에너지 분야 예산을 2024년 본예산 대비 194% 증액 편성했다.
