[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시가 올해 경남 최초로 동아시아문화도시에 선정되는 등 다양한 분야서 20여 개 교류사업을 추진해 위상을 높였다.
시는 23일 소회의실에서 2024 동아시아문화도시 기획·운영 대행용역 최종보고회를 개최했다.
보고회에는 홍태용 시장을 비롯해 안경원 부시장, 최석철 문화관광재단 대표이사, 박철훈 KNN 경남본부장 등 유관기관장, 지역예술인 대표 20여명이 참석했다.
참석자들은 용역사의 과업수행 평가와 함께 동아시아문화도시 사업 전반에 대한 성과와 향후 발전방향 등을 심도있게 논의했다.
동아시아문화도시 사업을 수준높게 구현해낸 용역사 ㈜KNN의 이장희 부장에 대한 유공 표창, 홍보대사 은가은, 란민 주부산중국교민회장에 대한 감사패 수여도 함께 이뤄졌다.
시는 경남 최초로 동아시아문화도시에 선정돼 지난 4월 개막부터 10월 폐막까지 3국의 청소년, 도자, 현악기, 공예, 조각, 대중음악 등 다양한 분야서 20여 개 교류사업을 추진했다.
특히 지난 5월 서울 국립현대미술관에서 열린 제9차 한일중 정상회의 만찬장에 도자교류전 작품이 초청 전시되며 시의 위상을 높였다.
11월에는 중국 선정도시인 다롄시와 우호교류협약을 체결하며 외교적 성과를 이뤘다.
무엇보다 20여개 지역예술단체 400여명이 참여해 지역 문화예술에 활력을 불어넣으며 시민들에게도 다양한 볼거리를 제공했다.
세부 프로그램별 만족도, 운영과 관리의 적절성, 지역사회 기여도 등 20여개 항목으로 실시된 만족도 조사 결과 동아시아 청소년문화제와 탈아시아전이 각 4.68점, 4.60점으로 가장 만족도가 높았으며 향후 지속적인 육성이 필요한 콘텐츠로 도자기와 조각이 꼽혔다.
홍태용 시장은 "경남 최초였고 연초 일본 선정도시 지진으로 인한 사업 포기 등 쉽지 않은 사업이었는데 지역 문화예술계의 도움으로 성공적으로 이 자리까지 올 수 있었다"며 “국비 지원이 종료되는 내년 이후에도 양질의 후속 사업을 발굴하고 교류를 지속해가기 위해서는 앞으로 더 많은 관심과 도움이 절실하다”고 말했다.
한편 동아시아문화도시 사업은 매년 공모를 통해 3국의 대표 문화도시를 선정해 교류를 추진하는 사업으로 내년은 ‘안성맞춤’, ‘바우덕이’ 등으로 유명한 경기도 안성시가 한국 대표도시로 선정됐고 중국은 마카오시와 후저우시, 일본은 가마쿠라시가 선정됐다.
