[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시가 노인들의 역량을 활용해 양질의 노인 일자리 창출에 앞장서고 있다.
9일 시에 따르면 김해시니어클럽이 한국승강기안전공단 경남동부지사와 협력해 ‘시니어 안전보안관’ 사업을 추진한다.
이 사업은 부적격 승강기 점검과 복지시설 승강기 안전관리를 통해 시민 안전을 지키는 동시에 노인 일자리 창출을 목표로 한다.
시니어 안전보안관은 60세 이상 김해시민을 대상으로 직무교육을 이수한 80명이 활동하게 된다.
이와 함께 김해가야시니어클럽은 경남생명의전화와 협력해 ’시니어자살예방상담원‘ 사업을 운영한다.
이 사업은 노인 일자리와 연계해 생명존중 문화를 확산하고 사회문제가 되고 있는 자살을 예방하는 데 기여할 전망이다.
상담교육과 300시간 이상의 실습을 이수한 60세 이상 어르신들이 경남생명의전화에서 전화상담원 역할을 수행한다.
이처럼 시는 지역사회에 도움이 되는 다양한 노인 일자리 사업을 통해 어르신들이 사회적 가치를 실현하며 보람 있는 노후를 보낼 수 있도록 돕고 있다.
특히 노인의 경험과 역량을 활용한 일자리를 통해 개인의 성취감을 높이고 지역사회의 긍정적 변화를 도모하고 있다.
시는 올해 290억원의 예산으로 6,900명 노인에게 일자리를 제공한다.
시 관계자는 “앞으로도 양질의 노인 일자리 창출과 복지 향상을 위해 지속적으로 노력할 것”이라며 “시니어 안전보안관과 시니어자살예방상담원 사업이 성공적으로 정착해 더 많은 어르신께 기회를 제공하길 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
