[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 미래항공산업의 중심도시로 자리잡기 위한 발판을 마련하기 위해 행정력을 집중하고 있다고 16일 밝혔다.
조규일 진주시장은 15일 경남도청에서 박완수 경남도지사를 만나 시가 주도하는 미래항공기체(AAV) 산업 생태계 조성을 위한 신규 사업을 건의하고, 경남도의 적극적인 지원을 요청했다.
이번 면담에서 조 시장은 미래항공기체 부품 및 소재의 인증과 안전성 연구를 위한 전문 시설 구축을 촉구했다.
또 진주시는 지난해 12월 착공한 '미래항공기체 실증센터'와 올해부터 본격 운영을 시작한 'KAI 회전익 비행센터'를 중심으로 가산산단 일원을 대한민국 제1호 미래항공기체 생산기지로 육성할 계획을 전했다.
