[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 산림병해충 예찰방제단 안전교육을 실시하고 소나무재선충병 고사목 제거를 위해 직영 방제사업에 돌입했다.
시는 방제작업 벌목작업 시 안전사고가 발생하지 않도록 안전보호구 착용 및 안전거리 확보 등을 강조하고, 심폐소생술 등 응급처지 요령 및 실습도 진행했다.
직영 방제사업은 시에서 직접 예찰방제단 30명을 재선충병 방제작업지에 투입해 진행하며, 오는 5월까지 소나무류 고사목 7,000여 그루를 제거할 계획이다.
또 시는 사목 제거작업 외에도 재선충병 예방 나무주사, 훈증무더기 처리 등의 방제작업도 실시될 예정이다.
진주시 관계자는 “오는 5월까지 소나무류 고사목을 전량 제거하도록 하겠다”며“소나무재선충병 확산 방지를 위해 고사목을 무단으로 이동하는 일이 없도록 주의해 달라”고 당부했다.
